KILLEEN, Texas - Nine members of the Australian army took a staff ride on Fort Hood with members of the 1st Cavalry Division command staff, including Brig. Gen. Michael Bills, 1st Cav. Div. commanding general; and Brig. Gen. Douglas Gabram, 1st Cav. Div. deputy commanding general, March 20.

The Australians were at Fort Hood for Unified Endeavor, a two-week multi-national training exercise to prepare for an upcoming mission to Afghanistan, where they will be working shoulder-to-shoulder with the First Team.

Riders with the 1st Cav. Div. Horse Cavalry Detachment guided the group around some of the open spaces of Fort Hood for two hours before returning to the stables, where Bills presented each Australian with a personal thank you and a certificate of appreciation.
