The Combat Studies Institute Press located at Fort Leavenworth, KS, is pleased to announce it's 200th publication "Training for Decisive Action: Stories of Mission Command." The new publication was produced by the United States Army's National Training Center Operations Group. The newly implemented Decisive Action Training Environment presents a complex environment where the core competencies of combined arms maneuver and wide area security must constantly be balanced by agile commanders through the execution of mission command. This new publication presents a collection of 35 personal insights from leaders across various rotational units and from the NTC's Opposing Force. Training for Decisive Action provides a unique view of how the NTC, as part of the Army's various Combat Training Centers (CTC), continues to serve as an engine of change for Army collective training, preserving core competencies while guiding new initiatives in tactical doctrine as the Force transitions to face emerging threats.
