FORT A.P. HILL, Va. - About 60 runners and walkers of all ages participated in the U.S. Army Garrison Fort A.P. Hill Labor Day 5-kilometer walk and run on August 28 here.
Many of the runners were Soldiers attending training at the U.S. Army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal School here. Families and A.P. Hill civilian workers joined them on the course which wound through the woods by Travis Lake.
The first runner to finish was Brandon Crabtree, who works at the A.P. Hill Community Activity Center. His time was 20 minutes, 3 seconds.
The youngest runner to finish was four-year old Alex Thomas who ran the course with his dad, A.P. Hill firefighter Brad Thomas.
