Arlington, Va. (July 17, 2013) - - Hundred's of visitors to the Nation's Capital, along with their host Lt. Gen. James O. Barclay, deputy chief of staff, G-8, for the Army, avoided the D.C. heat wave and watched the U.S. Army Military District of Washington's performance of Twilight Tattoo inside Conmy Hall at Joint Base Myer - Henderson Hall.

The Army G-8 is the Army's lead for matching available resources to the defense strategy and the Army plan. The G-8 team works to plan, develop, and resource programs supporting Soldiers by balancing Current Force needs with Future Force capabilities.

Twilight Tattoo is an hour-long military pageant featuring Soldiers from the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own."

Audiences experience a glimpse into American history through performances by the U.S. Army Blues, vocalists from the U.S. Army Band, the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, and the U.S. Army Drill Team.

Free to the Public

All Twilight Tattoo performances are free and open to the public. Unfortunately, due to budget constraints there will be no bleachers for Twilight Tattoo shows this year. Grass seating is available and it's recommended guests bring a blanket or lawn chairs. For more information on group reservations, contact MDW Public Affairs at (202) 685-2888.

Twilight Tattoo 2013 Schedule

Twilight Tattoo performances begin at 7 PM. Pre-ceremony pageantry begins at 6:45 PM.

Performances are located at Whipple Field or inside Conmy Hall on JBM-HH depending on the weather so please check the http://twilight.mdw.army.mil/home web site prior to attending a specific date for any day-of-show location changes.
