HUNTER ARMY AIRFIELD, Ga. - Soldiers from the 3rd Combat Aviation Brigade, Third Infantry Division, participated in a joint air mobility training exercise with Airmen and Marines at Hunter Army Airfield, Nov. 3. The exercise was part of the 3rd CAB's continuing preparation and readiness for its Global Response Force mission.

Falcon Soldiers from the 1st, 2nd and 4th Battalions, 3rd Aviation Regiment; 2nd Battalion, 3rd Aviation Regiment practiced loading their UH-60 Black Hawks, AH-64 Apaches and CH-47 Chinooks into the back of a C-17A Globemaster III, which traveled to Hunter from Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. Airmen trained the Soldiers and Marines on proper loading procedures.

It was the first time many of the Soldiers folded and loaded their aircraft, said Capt. Christopher Colbert, commander of Company A, 2/3 Avn.

"The GRF mission requires us to deploy at the drop of a hat," Capt. Colbert said. "Gaining the Air Force's expertise is a crucial asset to our success. We all deploy as a package and these joint training exercises elevate the standard across the board."
