FORT BRAGG, N.C. - Under grayish cloudy skies reflecting a somber mood, the U.S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne) honored its fallen Army Reserve Soldiers in a memorial service here on May 25, at Fort Bragg.

"The loss of any Soldier is a tragedy that diminishes us all, and there is no closure for those left behind, but knowing these brave men and women served with enthusiasm, dedication and honor enriches their memory as it sharpens the impact that their lives had on everyone they touched," said Maj. Gen. David N. Blackledge, USACAPOC(A) Commanding General.

Blackledge, along with Command Sgt. Maj. Dale R. Blosser, the senior enlisted advisor to the command, greeted the families of six fallen Soldiers. Families of these fallen heroes came from all across the United States to spend a few days with the Soldiers who served with their loved ones.

"We are glad that you came and want you to know that you are part of our USACAPOC(A) family," Blackledge said.

The ceremony honored six fallen USACAPOC(A) Soldiers, Maj. Scott A. Hagerty, Stillwater, Okla., Maj. Dwayne M. Kelley, Willingboro, N.J., Master Sgt. Blue C. Rowe, Whittier, Calif., Capt. Benjamin A. Sklaver, Mamaronek, N.Y., Spc Alan H. Newton, Asheboro, N.C., and Cpl. Steven J. Bishop, Floyd, VA.

USACAPOC(A) holds the memorial ceremony yearly at Fort Bragg to honor its fallen Soldiers and their families.
