Carolina Canines for Veterans is a part of Carolina Canines for Service (CCFS), a non-profit health and human services organization that provides people with disabilities quality trained service dogs. Carolina Canines for Veterans provides wounded warriors with trained service dogs using military prisoners to train the dogs rescued from local shelters. Wounded warriors are trained individually to work with their dog either in North Carolina or where the service member lives dependent on the circumstances. Service dogs are provided at no cost to the wounded warrior.
