BUTLERVILLE, Ind. - A Colorado Army National Guard UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter aircrew hovers over a lake at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Ind., and prepares to haul water to put out a simulated fire in the area Nov. 10 during the Vibrant Response 10.1 field training exercise. The Soldiers, who serve with Company A, 2nd Battalion, 135th Aviation Regiment, are home based out of Buckley AFB, Colo., as part of the Colorado Army National Guard Aviation Command. They were among the 4,000 service members and their civilian partners who joined forces at the training center, as well as nearby Camp Atterbury and various other locations in the area, to combat the affects of a simulated terrorist's 10-kiloton nuclear blast in downtown Indianapolis.

BUTLERVILLE, Ind. - A UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter from Task Force Aviation, Chemical, Biological, Nuclear, high-yield Explosive Consequence Management Response Force, drops water on a simulated fire during the Vibrant Response 10.1 field training exercise Nov. 10 at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center, Ind. The exercise is part of the U. S. Northern Command program designed to integrate DOD forces into the larger federal response to a catastrophic incident. As the USNORTHCOM Joint Force Land Component Command, ARNORTH is tasked with the responsibility to exercise and train the CCMRF forces.
