Herminio "Rico" Incle was named Tobyhanna Army Depot Supervisor of the Quarter at the organization's quarterly leadership meeting on Aug. 27.

A steadfast dedication to achieving mission success while fostering employee growth and empowerment has propelled a Tobyhanna supervisor into the spotlight.

Herminio “Rico” Incle was named Tobyhanna Army Depot’s Supervisor of the Quarter for the second quarter of the fiscal year. Award recipients are nominated by peers or their superiors, then selected by a panel of judges based upon four criteria: accomplishment of their duties; how effectively they set an example to others; the nominee’s efforts to improve the depot productivity; and how they display selfless service in accordance with Army core values.

Incle’s consistent leadership of the Field Logistics Support Directorate’s Software Support Central Branch goes above and beyond, according to nominator Alan Knotts. Knotts leads the Central Division for Field Logistics Support.

“Rico is constantly talking to his employees, listening to their concerns and supporting strategic initiatives to move the business forward,” he said, adding that Incle places a high priority on integrity.

“He stands behind his word 100% of the time.”

In the nomination packet, Knotts also highlighted Incle’s significant accomplishments during the quarter – managing the relocation of ten employees from one location to another, spearheading a knowledge-sharing opportunity across his division to ensure consistency, and ensuring the branch had a 100% performance to promise metric as well as high marks in training completion efforts.

Incle says the honor was wholly unexpected, and it is an accolade that must be attributed to his team as well.

“Being selected as the Supervisor of the Quarter is an incredible honor. The recognition is truly humbling, but this award belongs to the entire Software Support Central Branch. Their dedication, attention to detail and true desire to support our warfighters make this job rewarding every day!”

Employee recognition programs are a key tenet of TOBY2035, TYAD’s long-range strategic plan. The plan, which has four focus areas – Investing in Our People, C5ISR Readiness, Shape the Future and Strategic Communications, aims to posture the depot to meet the future needs of the joint warfighter on a multidomain battlefield.

Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) is designated as the Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), electronics, avionics, and missile guidance and control. TYAD provides cradle-to-grave lifecycle support through depot-level repair, systems integration, software and cyber engineering, and field support. A key enabler of operational readiness for Joint and Allied Forces globally, TYAD leverages new and emerging technologies to further expand the Department of Defense’s organic capabilities for microelectronics, secure communications infrastructure, unmanned aerial systems, Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2), Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), and the Army’s Next Generation Combat Systems (NGC2). TYAD’s ability to rapidly surge production, deploy field support teams, and scale for contingency or theater-level operations makes it a vital contributor to strategic readiness and operational reach.
