FORT KNOX, Ky. — Fourteen Class of 2025 graduates from Fort Knox Middle High School and their families and friends celebrated their faith during a special baccalaureate service in Main Post Chapel May 15.
Graduates of Fort Knox Middle High School walk down the aisle at Fort Knox Main Post Chapel May 15, 2025 to celebrate their accomplishments at a special faith-filled baccalaureate service the day prior to graduating.
The graduates will walk across the stage on the next day to receive their diplomas. For those who attended the baccalaureate, it was one last opportunity to be recognized for their hard work prior to graduation.
During the service, students read from different passages of the Bible, prayed and received gifts.
Chaplain (Maj.) Jason Dechenne, chaplain of 3rd Brigade, U.S. Army Recruiting Command, encourages the students to grow in their faith as they grow in competence, connections and character.

Chaplain (Maj.) Jason Dechenne, chaplain of 3rd Brigade, U.S. Army Recruiting Command, encouraged them to pursue greatness after high school with competence, connection, character and faith. He used the story of a Roman centurion from the popular TV series “The Chosen” as an example of all these traits.
“As you graduate high school and you go out into the world, I pray you become people of character,” said Dechenne. “But most of all, I pray that a life of faith enters you and changes you.”
