Citizens for Fort Campbell

The Citizens for Fort Campbell is a group of 65 key civic leaders from the surrounding communities who are deeply interested in maintaining a strong relationship with Fort Campbell. Primarily, they advocate for the installation through Congressional visits, advocating for Soldier and Family-based projects, such as day care center improvements, new AAFES and commissary facilities and other construction-related issues. Most recently, this group facilitated the addition of a Child Development Center for children ages 6-10 to be added to the 2008 Defense Supplemental Appropriations Act. The project will support 210 children.

Eagle Ambassador Program

The Hopkinsville-Oak Grove-Christian County Military Affairs Committee's (MAC) Eagle Ambassador program allows individuals and business to contribute through the MAC program to the men and women of Fort Campbell. The generous support of Eagle Ambassadors is what allows the MAC to host a variety of programs, functions, and events for their military neighbors.
Hopkinsville Salutes Fort Campbell

A full week in September is set aside as Hopkinsville Salutes Fort Campbell. Founded through the Chamber's Military Affairs committee, this week was established to show Hopkinsville's appreciation for her military neighbors to the south. The week's activities include a chili cook-off, style show, children's activities, home tours and more. Many other activities and events throughout the year are sponsored by the Chamber's active Military Affairs committee. They include Hail and Farewells, Tours of Hopkinsville, and the Spring Fling.
Warrior Week

Held annually in conjunction with Clarksville's "Rivers and Spires" festival, Warrior Week showcases the strong relationship between Fort Campbell and the surrounding community. While events vary from year to year, Warrior Week allows community members to express their appreciation to Soldiers and their Families for the contributions and sacrifices they make during times of deployment, and at home. Warrior Week was established in 2003 as a tribute to Fort Campbell Soldiers returning home from deployment.

Operation Eagles Nest

Operation Eagle's Nest (OEN) is an initiative of the communities of Clarksville, Oak Grove and Hopkinsville to assist Soldiers and their Families. Operation Eagle's Nest is a 501 (c) (3) foundation which provides additional financial support to existing organizations that already provide support to families on the installation. Recently, OEN donated $75,000 to Fort Campbell MWR to help construct a "Boundless Playground" at the installation Family Resource Center. The donation allowed the construction of a handicapped-accessible play area to be utilized by handicapped Soldiers and children, and to provide a safe play area for children in the daycare center at the FRC. Additionally, OEN has sponsored educational opportunities for Fort Campbell teens, as well as a wide variety of social activities for families of deployed Soldiers.
