FORT KNOX, Ky. – Members of the 10th Mountain Division Band performed at Eastman Park Amphitheater Friday, giving the Fort Knox community an opportunity to listen to rock and patriotic-themed music while enjoying a party.

The Aug. 13 Party in the Park featured catered food and beverages, inflatables for children and a painting wall for Families to enjoy. Following the rock concert, about 150 runners participated in the Sasquatch Sighting 5k.

Garrison Commander Col. Lance O’Bryan addressed attendees following the run, saying the music event came together thanks to the band – visiting Fort Knox to participate in Cadet Summer Training graduation ceremonies – who offered to also perform for the community at Party in the Park.

“I appreciate everyone coming out and listening to some great music,” said O’Bryan. “They volunteered their time and service to come out here to put on a great patriotic ceremony for us.”

The 10th Mountain Division Band is out of Fort Drum, New York.
