Theater performance: Comin' Up Christmas Time

This magnificent city is a sight to behold during the Christmas season.

Ski/Snowboard Trip: San Pellegrino

San Pellegrino is best known for its off-piste terrain and knee-dropping telemark skiers. Add in a progressive snow park and a scenic backdrop and you've got one of Outdoor Recreation's favorite stops for the ski season. The area is also known as Tre Valli, or Three Valleys, and hosts an annual free riding competition.

Ski/Snowboard Trip: Stubai

Stubai Glacier: The Stubaital is a glacier located just over the border in Austria and features snow year-round. The well-groomed slopes are ideal for beginners and intermediate skiers and boarders. With terrain for all skill levels, a large snow park and good off-piste options, Stubai has something for everyone. Rental equipment must be reserved in advance. You will be able to pick up your rental equipment the morning of the trip from Outdoor Recreation. We will pick up people from Del Din first, then stop at Ederle for everyone to load their equipment onto the bus.

Rome Express at Christmas Time

Rome celebrates the Christmas season in style. A nativity scene is set up at St. Peter's Square, Piazza Navona becomes a big Christmas market, and a 23-foot Christmas tree is decorated in the center of Piazza Venezia. Rome has fewer queues and tourists, and restaurants and bars are less busy, making Christmas time a much calmer and ideal time to visit Rome.

A part of the Dolomite Mountains "SuperSki" area, San Martino is a favorite local resort located beneath the breathtaking Pale di San Martino. Milan: A Guided Tour

Milan, a metropolis in Italy's northern Lombardy region, is a global capital of fashion and design. Home to the national stock exchange, Milan is a financial hub also known for its high-end dining and shopping. Join Outdoor Recreation on a 2-hour guided tour of Milan. Afterward, participants will be able to break from the group for free time.

There are slopes for everyone at Solden - the wide and easy runs on the Giggijoch and on the glacier, as well as the intermediate slopes on the Gaislachkogl. The difficult slopes are distributed throughout the ski resort. You shouldn't miss the BIG 3 when touring the ski resort. The BIG 3 stands for the 3 ski mountains - all of them above 3000 m - which provide first-class observation platforms and unique panorama views. Don't forget your passport.

Lugano, Switzerland Express

Lugano, the largest town in the holiday region of Ticino, is not only Switzerland's third most important financial center and a conference, banking and business center, but also a town of parks and flowers, villas and sacred buildings. With Mediterranean flair, Lugano offers all the advantages of a world-class city, combined with the quaintness of a small town. Just a few kilometers outside of Lugano is the Alprose Chocolate Factory, owned and operated by the largest chocolate manufacturer in Switzerland. The groups will stop here to shop for chocolate.

Ski/Snowboard Trip: Obereggen (South Tyrol)

Obereggen has 45 ski lifts, 110 kilometers of groomed slopes to ride and a good-sized snow park to play in. Obereggen is fine for beginners, and a great place for intermediate and advanced skiers and snowboarders to work on their skills.

Portofino Express

Portofino is a small fishing village and tourist resort located in the province of Genova on the Italian Riviera. The group will reach Portofino by sea. On the approach, admire the beauty of the multicolored houses as they are reflected in the bay. After disembarking, participants will have free time to walk along the peaceful streets and visit the many local shops and restaurants until approximately late afternoon. This tiny resort is an ideal setting for experiencing the Italian "Dolce Vita" (The Sweet Life). This destination is one of the most alluring destinations on the Italian Riviera.

Chamonix, France and Glacier Ice Cave Tour

Walk into the belly of a glacier with Outdoor Rec! On this tour we will travel to Chamonix, France to take a trip by train to the Mer de Glace Ice Cave where we will get to tour the inside of a glacier. The tour of the glacier takes visitors into the very heart of the glacier itself and shows the life of mountain people in the early 19th century! Once our tour is complete we will spend free time in Chamonix, France. Chamonix is a resort town near the boarders of France, Switzerland and Italy. It is a haven fpr skiers and snowboarders worldwide.

The Emergency Placement Care (EPC) program places children who cannot be cared for by their natural family or legal guardian into temporary homes. It's designed to provide children a safe, healthy and emotionally stable environment on a short-term basis.

BOSS Ugly Sweater Fun Run

Sigholtz Center, Caserma Del Din

The holiday season is upon us and what better way to show your holiday fashion than through a festive fun run? Don't have an ugly sweater? The Art Center will be on hand at 10 a.m. with everything you need to create a prize-worthy masterpiece. Just bring a shirt, and the Art Center will provide the rest. At 10:45 a.m., the BOSS President will provide opening remarks. The 2.5 mile run kicks off at 11 a.m. Run around Del Din in your ugliest sweater. Deck out strollers and your dogs, too. Everyone is welcome. Prizes will be awarded courtesy of ASAP, AAFES and Sports, Fitness and Aquatics. At noon, there will be free pancakes, sausage, hot chocolate and coffee outside of the Sigholtz Center, courtesy of 173rd IBCT (Airborne) and USO Vicenza. And that's not all! Santa will make a special appearance.

Group Fitness Class Schedule

The Ederle and Del Din fitness centers have plenty of great classes to help everyone get in shape. Open to all skill levels. Classes include Zumba, cycling, taekwondo, yoga, power pump and many more. Self-defense classes are $12 per class/$70 for monthly pass.
