Dozens of preschool students, Family and staff members at Scales Child Development Center take part in breast cancer awareness walk Oct. 12. Carrying banners and signs the group -- many of them wearing pink, the international symbol of breast cancer awareness -- made a lap around the neighborhood, where they were met with waves and cheers from adults and children in nearby offices.
The walk was led this year by Angela Moore, a nine-year survivor of breast cancer and the parent of a team leader at Scales Child Development Center.
