FORT STEWART, Ga --The Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield Morale Recreation Welfare team welcomes the Marne community to celebrate Independence Day with a free, open to the public concert at 7 p.m., followed by fireworks, July 4 at Donovan Field.

The concert will feature Grammy Award-nominated -- Mississippi rock band 3 Doors Down, Academy of Country Music Award and Country Music Award winners -- LOCASH, and multi-platinum rhythm and blues group Jagged Edge.

Gates two and three open at 4 p.m. for the general public and concert access open at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks start at 10:30 p.m.

Prohibited items include: non-service animals, bottles or cans, umbrellas, video cameras, Frisbees, weapons, knives, other dangerous instruments, personal fireworks or explosives, banner poles and large signs or banners. Vehicles are subject to random search upon entering the installation, and concert goers and their items are subject to search before entering the concert grounds.

Also, active duty and military Families only - are invited to a free Family day picnic that includes inflatables and backyard games from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Newman field. The Corkan Pool & Recreation Center, and Marne Bowling Center will be open for use, free of charge. Free food will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Newman field is located at 215 W. 6th Street Building 439, on Fort Stewart.
