HONOLULU -- Physicians and medical professionals from the Japanese Navy visited Tripler Army Medical Center, commonly known as TAMC, during their annual overseas training cruise, on June 5, and received a facilities tour from TAMC's protocol officer, Joel Jenkins (right). The group attended an information brief at Kyser auditorium to learn of Tripler's historical legacy in the Pacific and to also gain a better understanding of Tripler's mission and readiness focus. Following the presentation, the visitors toured the adult intensive care unit, pediatric intensive care unit and emergency department to observe recent developments made to better accommodate patients and families. TAMC is dedicated to continuous quality improvement by leveraging state-of-the-art medicine through state-of-the-art technology while delivering safe, high-quality healthcare to service members, families and retirees throughout the Pacific.
