WIESBADEN, Germany -- Dust off your resumes and iron that suit; recruiters from more than 50 organizations will be in Wiesbaden next week -- many ready to conduct interviews and even hire on the spot. Army Community Service is hosting a career fair March 24, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wiesbaden Entertainment Center. Job seekers will have direct access to employers as well as resume review assistance and professional development classes.

Since last year's career fair, ACS has hired a dedicated Employment Readiness Program Manager, Lewis Boatner, who is able to help most people find employment whenever they come to him. "Ninety percent of the people coming through are getting interviews or getting hired," he said.

"One of the good things about this career fair is that there are several organizations that are not affected by the hiring freeze. This is the opportunity for those who are concerned about finding employment in the community; this is the way to do it.

This event has something for everyone seeking employment, whether here in Wiesbaden or stateside. Local as well as U.S. recruiters will be in attendance representing industries such as banking, information technology, education and training, defense contractors, aerospace, food services, infrastructure and technology and government agencies.

In addition to being able to meet with employers, job seekers will have the opportunity to take professional development classes beginning at 8 a.m., offered by the Association of the U.S. Army, and resume review assistance courtesy of the Soldier for Life program, both in the ACS building across the street from the WEC.

For those who would like assistance tailoring their resume, Soldier for Life Transition Services Manager Brad Gavle recommends bringing a hard copy and also emailing a copy toyourself, so that changes can be made and new copies can be printed from computers there. He said job seekers should have an idea of which employers they are interested in talking to and tailor their resume to those jobs.

"I'd recommend they look at who's coming and try to do some research ahead of time, start the process and we can help them tweak it," Gavle said. "We want to help make sure the product they're giving them is a good product."

And wear the clothes for the job you want, says Boatner. "I strongly encourage dress for success."
