Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center's atrium was ringing with holiday music Dec. 5 as the new hospital kicked off its inaugural Holiday Music Series. Belting out spirited tunes to begin the daily musical offerings was 1st Lt. Isis Rosario, who is a CRDAMC labor and delivery nurse.

Sponsored by CRDAMC's ministry team, the purpose of the holiday musical series is to not only spread holiday cheer and goodwill throughout the hospital, but also to thank hospital patients and beneficiaries.

"We want our patients to feel welcome and to let them know they are part of our Family," said Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Darren Coleman, chief of CRDAMC's Department of Ministry.

Every afternoon until Dec. 15, various school choirs, community groups, CRDAMC employees and the 1st Cavalry Division Band will be performing and serenading CRDAMC's guests and employees in the hospital's atrium.

"We want this to be the start of a holiday tradition," said Coleman.

CRDAMC kicked off the holiday season Dec. 2 with its Christmas tree and Menorah lightings.
