SEMBACH, Germany - Pfc. Shanea Cook, a corrections specialist with U.S. Army Correctional Activity-Europe (USACA-E), 18th Military Police Brigade, and a native of Lafayette, Georgia is this week's 21st Theater Sustainment Command Warrior of the Week.

Questions and Answers

Q: How long have you been doing your job?

A: I've been in my job for nine months.

Q: What are your goals?

A: I want to complete my bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice.

Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I enjoy reading, running and rock climbing.

Q: What do you like most about the Army?

A: I like that the challenges me to better myself daily.

Q: What would you change about the military service life?

A: I wouldn't change anything at this time.

Q: Describe your military career.

A: I graduated Basic Training and Army Individual Training on December 18, 2014 as a correctional specialist (31E). My first duty station, and where I am currently, is Sembach, Germany assigned to USACA-E.

Q: What do you like most about being stationed in Germany?

A: I have the opportunity to travel to different countries all over Europe within a relatively short distance.

Q: What is your favorite movie genre?

A: I like comedies.

Q: What are you most proud of?

A: I'm most proud of my ability to balance college while also advancing myself in the Army by preparing for soldier of the month boards and completing correspondence courses.

Q: If you were stranded on a deserted island, what three things would you want with you (not survival gear, but things with personal meaning)?

A: I would want a cross,a bible and a book.

Q: Name someone who has influenced or inspired you during your military career (could be a leader, mentor, peer or subordinate) and explain why.

A: Staff Sgt. Fitzgerald, my current squad leader, has influenced me. He was my AIT instructor and now is a part of my unit. He has inspired me to push myself to be the best I can be and to be a great Soldier.

Q: If you could meet one individual, alive or dead, who would it be and why?

A: I would like to meet Bethany Hamilton, the professional surfer, as she has inspired me that anything is possible, no matter how tough things get.
