ARAD, Romania -- Romanian Soldiers continuously rehearsed throughout the day and into the setting of the sun to prepare for Exercise Dragoon Crossing 2015, which will begin Oct. 24, 2015, with an opening ceremony. The exercise will continue through October 26, 2015, with military static displays, the United States Army Europe Band, distinguished guests, the tactical bridge crossing of the Mures River and concluding with an ending ceremony.

Exercise Dragoon Crossing is a part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, an ongoing series of training exercises and events designed to build relationships, trust and interoperability between the United States and its NATO allies. 


"I am very pleased to be able to work with the U.S. Army," said Romanian Lt. Col. Arin Laurentiu, the chief of planning and training operations with 10th Engineer Brigade. "It is very important that all the different units [Romanian and U.S.] work together," said Arin. "I am excited to see how they work together."

Soldiers assigned to 4th Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, stationed in Vilseck, Germany, will join their Romanian military counterparts while participating in the wet- gap crossing of the Mures River during the multi-national training of Exercise Dragoon Crossing in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve, in Arad, Romania, Oct. 24 -- 26, 2015.
