Paratroopers from the U.S., U.S., Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and the U.K conduct an airborne operation Sept. 18, at Houtdorperveld Drop Zone, Netherlands, as part of a commemoration of the 71st anniversary of Operation Market Garden.
The commemoration brought together approximately 1,000 allied paratroopers from the seven NATO allies for several days of combined airborne operations and ceremonies. Market Garden was the largest airborne operation in history, taking place from Sept. 17-25, 1944.
