ARLINGTON, Va. - Senior leadership from Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall was on hand June 9 at the 16th annual meeting of the Radnor-Fort Myer Heights Civic Association.

JBM-HH Commander Col. Mike Henderson gave remarks ahead of the evening's guest speaker, U.S. Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.).

Henderson said the joint base plays a vital role in providing support to Soldiers and Marines stationed in the National Capital Region.

"We also provide support to the area's retired military, veterans, military family members and our civilian workforce," he continued. "In all, we provide services to well over 150,000 people."

Attending the meeting with Henderson were Command Sgt. Major Randall Woods, Fire Chief Russell Miller and Director of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security and Acting JBM-HH Chief of Staff Enoch Godbolt.

Henderson said that while it is understood that military leadership changes every two to three years, JBM-HH is committed to maintaining on-going and strong relationships with members of its neighboring communities.

"We are especially proud to call Radnor-Fort Myer Heights friends as well as neighbors," he said.

Approximately 170 local and commonwealth first responders, government, civic and association members were also on hand for the event. The Radnor-Fort Myer Heights Civic Association serves residential communities in Arlington, including most of Rosslyn, Courthouse and Fort Myer Heights, according to its website. The association plays an active role in representing the interests of neighborhood residents.
