FORT HUACHUCA, Ariz. -- Col. Ray Compton, commander, U.S. Army Electronic Proving Ground (USAEPG) addresses the Soldiers and civilians in a welcome and safety brief before starting an assessment event of a real-time translation system on April 3. The assessment event represents the capability of Fort Huachuca, involving testers from USAEPG, observers and linguists from the U.S. Army Intelligence Center of Excellence, managers from the TRADOC Capabilities Manager and Soldiers as the users, all at Fort Huachuca. USAEPG is the Army designated developmental tester for command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems, which includes intelligence systems like the candidate system being assessed.
