WIESBADEN, Germany (Feb. 9, 2015) -- U.S. Soldiers with the 102nd Signal Battalion and German Soldiers with the 282nd Communication and Information Systems Battalion sharpened their Futsal skills during a scrimmage held at the fitness center here on Clay Kaserne.

Futsal is version of soccer played on a smaller field mainly indoors. Generally, Futsal is played with two teams of five players.

According to Master Sgt. Ulrich Feldheiser with 282nd CIS Battalion and a semi-professional Futsal coach, the scrimmage provided an opportunity for both U.S. and German squads to practice the basic strategies of Futsal.

"We just wanted to have a little fun and familiarize ourselves with the rules and basic strategies," said Feldheiser.

The scrimmage was held to prepare both teams for an upcoming Futsal tournament Feb. 18 at Hunsruck Kaserne in Kastellaun.
