The Army Contracting Command's top enlisted leader visited members of the 918th Contingency Contracting Battalion, Mission and Installation Contracting Command-Fort Carson, Colorado, Oct. 29.

According to 918th officials, Command Sgt. Major David M. Puig maximized his trip with a full day of scheduled events with the Fort Carson team.

Puig was greeted by Lt. Col. Christopher Ostby, the battalion commander, and Master Sgt. Terry Walker, the unit's senior noncommissioned officer. After circulating the office to meet the team, Puig conducted an NCO call and professional development session where he discussed emerging changes in the Acquisition Corps.

During his time with the unit, Puig also hosted a town hall meeting for all organization members where he discussed ACC force reshaping, ACC's mission set and vision for the future. Toward the end of the town hall, he presented ACC coins of excellences to Nick Tapp and Ulanda Parker. Tapp was recognized for his efforts on contracting support he provided for several complex contracting actions supporting the Fort Carson Garrison. Parker was recognized for her administrative support to the Soldiers and civilians in the battalion.
