WASHINGTON -- Join Gen. Raymond T. Odierno, the 38th Chief of Staff of the Army, for a special Twilight Tattoo program to recognize four Americans for their outstanding service in support of the United States Army.
This special Twilight Tattoo will recognize and award Mr. Tom Donohue, of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; Ms. Suni Harford, of Citi Group; Mr. Tom Werner, of Red Sox Foundation; and Mr. Bob Woodruff, of The Bob Woodruff Foundation,with the Outstanding Civilian Service Award. The award is the third-highest public service honor the Army can bestow upon a civilian. Gen. Odierno will make brief remarks about each of the recipients during the ceremony.
The "Salute from the Chief" program is scheduled for 4:30 p.m., on Thursday, October 30 at Whipple Field on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va.
The show is FREE and open to the public and no tickets or pre-registration is required.
Twilight Tattoo is an hour-long, live-action military pageant featuring Soldiers from The 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) and The U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own." Experience a glimpse into American history through performances by The U.S. Army Blues, vocalists from The U.S. Army Band Downrange and U.S. Army Band Voices, The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, and The U.S. Army Drill Team.
