FORT BENNING, Ga., (Oct. 1, 2014) -- The Fort Benning Doughboys lost to the Georgia Prep Sports Academy Lions 54-21 Sept. 27 at Doughboy Stadium.

Head Coach Jason Gibson said this week's practice will focus on improving their running game.

"We are going to work on tempo as well," he said. "Faulkner (University) runs a high tempo offense - I mean very fast - so we have to get our guys acclimated to that and limit our mistakes."

The Doughboys will face off against Faulkner University twice this season.

Their next game will be at 2 p.m. Oct. 5 at Faulkner in Montgomery, Alabama, followed by a second game at 2 p.m. Oct. 12 at Doughboy Stadium.

Gibson said they have a good partnership with Faulkner and end up splitting with them every year.

"Last year we beat them there (and) they came here and beat us," he said. "It's always a good rivalry."

Faulkner is deep in numbers, Gibson said, which will pose as a challenge.

"They do a good job of bringing the pressure from all different areas of the field," he said. "Defensively, for us, we have to shut down their no huddle."
