RAY RICE AGAIN
TMZ Magazine got ahold of the video that showed Ray Rice in the elevator punching his then-fiancee Janay Palmer - now his wife - in the face, which consequently has leaked through the Internet resulting in Rice's indefinite suspension from the NFL.
I must say that this has gotten to be a huge topic.
While listening to the radio on my way to work, people were calling in and discussing if they think his punishment is justified or too harsh.
Multiple opinions hit the radio waves giving their two cents, yet I never heard anything about Rice's wife's decision.
First, I just want to say that domestic violence is wrong and it shouldn't ever happen.
To want to physically hurt someone, especially a loved one, shouldn't be a part of thoughts that run through a human being's mind. Rice's wife ultimately said his behavior is OK by tying the knot and saying "I do" one month after the incident.
Why should we punish a person when the person he hurt deems the actions as acceptable?
There was a woman on the radio who made a statement that professional matters and personal business should be viewed as separate and just because a person does an action at home, it doesn't mean they should be reprimanded in their business life.
The lady said a fine example could be politicians, with which I agree.
She said they are given the option to stay or resign and their decisions - compared to Rice's - actually matter.
Bottom line, I believe since the video was leaked, the Ravens view Rice as a person who is representing their brand and because he has done wrong in the eyes of many, they have taken measures to protect themselves.
