FORT KNOX, Ky. (April 29, 2013) -- The U.S. Army Human Resources Command will migrate the functionality of the HRC Users Registration System to the HRC-owned Identity Management System May 17.

When U.S. Army Accessions Command's information-technology presence merged with HRC on January 1, 2012, both commands had automated access-control systems. Both HURS and IMS were evaluated and HRC officials determined that IMS would be the best system to sustain.

The current HURS link will redirect users to IMS affecting all current PAS chiefs and HURS sponsors.

HRC officials said they expect no loss of functionality with the new system. To minimize the learning curve for HURS users, IMS has been re-designed to provide a similar look and feel to the HURS system. Online, step-by-step, training will soon be provided to all users.

Benefits of the system include, common access card, or CAC, login for sponsors, replacing the current ID/password login, more features include a better reporting tool for sponsors and, in the future, more and improved functionality.

PAS chiefs and HURS sponsors can monitor S1 NET for more updates as the deployment date nears.
