Mission
U.S. Army South, as the U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Joint Forces Land Component Command (JFLCC), conducts security cooperation operations and activities with partner nation Armies in the USSOUTHCOM Area of Responsibility in order to strengthen regional security and counter transnational threats in support of a networked defense of the Homeland. On order, the JFLCC provides a JTF-capable headquarters to respond to emergent requirements and tasked contingency plans.
