Several hundred people joined Team Redstone to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month during an observance at Bob Jones auditorium on Sept. 23.

The guest speaker was Roberto Clemente Jr., son of former professional baseball player Roberto Clemente, who died in a plane crash in 1972. The younger Clemente is a baseball broadcaster and a former professional baseball player.

Mexican food was offered for sampling and included: chicken flautas, burritos, enchiladas and chile rellenos; beef flautas, burritos, enchiladas and chile rellenos; rice, refried beans, cheese dip, salsa and guacamole.
