Army Senior leaders met with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus today. During the virtual meeting, Secretary of the Army Ryan McCarthy, Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. James McConville, and Sergeant Major of the Army Michael Grinston conveyed their gratitude for an opportunity to discuss issues of importance to the Hispanic community.
Army leaders and Congressional Hispanic Caucus members discussed recent Fort Hood events, Hispanic representation at senior ranks, and ongoing diversity and inclusion efforts.
Acknowledging that Hispanics have an irrefutable record of exceptional and honorable service, Army leaders expressed their desire to ensure there are no organizational barriers or bias preventing service-members of any race, ethnicity, gender, or sexual orientation from reaching their full potential.
