REDSTONE ARSENAL, Ala. -- One of the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command's G-8 division chose an informal ceremony as the way to end her years of civilian service.

Wanda Tucker, Operations and Sustainment Division chief, SMDC's G-8 office, retired among friends and coworkers March 26 at the command's Redstone Arsenal headquarters.

During the event, Tucker received the Meritorious Civilian Service Award, an American flag, a certificate of appreciation, and a certificate of retirement and pin.

Tucker retires with 31 years of federal civilian service.
