Connect your organization to Google Analytics

If your organization would like to dive deeper into metrics, then you can connect your organization’s content to a Google Analytics account. This will allow you to monitor visitor traffic and other reporting data on all products in CORE, giving you a more comprehensive view of your organization’s digital footprint.

Connect your organization to Google Analytics

  1. To start, you’ll need to sign up for a Google Analytics account. Follow the instructions carefully to ensure you create a Universal Analytics property, not a Google Analytics 4 property.
  2. Once your property is set up, locate your tracking ID. It will look something like UA-00000000–2.
  3. In CORE, click Community on the main menu.
  4. From My Organization page, click the icon in the top-right corner of the page to open the Edit Organization Settings lightbox.
  5. Copy and paste your tracking ID into the “Google Analytics Tracking ID” field.
  6. Click Update to close the lightbox.
NOTE: As an administrator, you can also access the Edit Organization Settings lightbox from the Advanced Settings section of your articles or Page. Simply click on Add your organization’s tracking ID.

Your tracking ID is automatically added to the Advanced Settings section of every article created by every team member in your organization, as well as in the Advanced Settings section of your Page.

Once your articles and/or Page are published, you will be able to monitor traffic and other reporting data such as traffic-referral information, user characteristics and browsing information directly through your organization’s Google Analytics account.

It can take up to 24 hours for data to appear in your reports. However, you can check your web-tracking setup immediately.

NOTE: This tracking ID is associated with your CORE organization. If it is changed in your Organization Information, then the tracking ID will change on all of your team’s old articles, as well as your organization Page.
