CAMP SABALU-HARRISON, Afghanistan - U.S. Sen. John Kerry, Massachusetts senator and chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, toured the Detention Facility in Parwan April 28, 2012. Under Kerry's leadership, the Foreign Relations Committee is addressing the key foreign policy and national security issues facing the United States, to include future relations with Afghanistan. The DFIP is currently transitioning operations to Afghan control in accordance with the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the U.S. and Afghan governments March 9.
