Toruń Night of Museums 2024

The Regional Museum in Toruń invites you to the second Toruń Night of Museums on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 6 p.m. to midnight. This event offers numerous attractions to explore the fascinating history and culture of Toruń. Access to all museum branches and participation in additional events will be free. Nightskating Toruń 2024

The streets of Toruń will once again welcome the roller peloton for the annual Nightskating event on Saturday, June 22, 2024. Starting at 8 p.m. from the Toruń Plaza parking lot, participants will skate a 10-kilometer route through the city. Supported by medics, volunteers, police, and city guards, the event ensures a safe and enjoyable experience. Subsequent editions of Nightskating will take place on July 5 and August 30, 2024. The event promises a relaxed pace, good music, free participation, surprises at the finish line, and a unique evening atmosphere.

Iconic Cafe Opening in Toruń's Old Town

Residents of Toruń are eagerly awaiting the grand opening of a new Starbucks Cafe in the old town on Thursday, June 20. This will be the second Starbucks location in the city, following the opening at Toruń Plaza Shopping and Entertainment Centre in June 2023. The new cafe, located at Old Town Square 30, aims to attract both residents and tourists with its wide range of coffees, teas, and snacks.

Days of Toruń 2024: City Festival Highlights

The annual city festival, Days of Toruń, is set to take place from June 20 to 24. Celebrating Toruń's founding on December 28, 1233, the festival coincides with the feast day of St. John the Baptist, the city's patron saint. This year's event promises five days of attractions, allowing residents to enjoy special moments within the historic old town.

Highlights include:

  • Thursday, June 20: Barbara Gołaska will perform "With the Guitar on Deckchairs" at 5 p.m. under the Krzywa Tower.
  • Friday, June 21: The castle fair starts at 10 a.m., with spontaneous concerts throughout the day. At 4 p.m., the senior vocal group Podgórski Walczyk will perform, followed by a 10 p.m. performance of "Little Prince" by the Sand Magic Theatre.
  • Saturday, June 22: The Classic Gala Toruń 2024 elegance competition runs from noon to 3 p.m. on Philadelphia Boulevard. Performances by Ola Sobczak at 3 p.m. and Agata Świrska at 5 p.m. will take place near the Krzywa Tower, with a free performance of "We are the same - Night of Kupala" at 10 p.m. at the Teutonic Castle.
  • Sunday, June 23: A concert by a renowned Polish rock band will start at 6 p.m. in the Old Town Square.

During the festival, Wilfredo León Venero, a Polish national volleyball player, and actor Krystian Pesta will unveil their commemorative plaques in Gingerbread Avenue near Artus Court.
