MG Kevin D. Admiral returns to Central Texas following two years serving as the HQDA G-3/5/7 Director of Force Management. In his previous tours, he served as a field grade officer with the 4th Infantry Division and as the 76th Colonel of the 3d Cavalry Regiment. His wife Charmain is an Army Veteran and a labor and administrative law attorney, their daughter, Kaitlyn is a high school sophomore.

Commissioned in Armor from the University of Kansas in 1994, MG Admiral holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular Biology and a Master of Science in Campaign Planning & Strategy from the Joint Advanced Warfighting School. He is also a graduate of the Royal College of Defence Studies, London where he was a Senior Service College fellow.

MG Admiral has served in Armor, Mechanized Infantry and Stryker formations during his career in the U.S., Korea, Iraq and Afghanistan. He commanded two companies in Korea, served as an OC/T at the National Training Center, Small Group Instructor for the Armor Captain Career Course, Aide-de-Camp to the 36th Army Chief of Staff and Executive Officer to the Commanding General of United Nations Command, Combined Forces Command, US Forces Korea (UNC/CFC/USFK).

He has three commands in combat: 1st Battalion, 36th Infantry (SBCT), 3d Cavalry Regiment (SBCT), and Task Force Southeast in Afghanistan.

He served as the Deputy Commanding General (Maneuver), 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson and as the 52nd Chief of Armor & Commandant, US Army Armor School, Fort Moore, GA.

MG Admiral's awards and decorations include the Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (4 Awards including C Device), Bronze Star Medal (4 Awards), the Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal (7 Awards), Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (4 Awards) the Combat Action Badge, Parachutist Badge, and the Army Staff Identification Badge.
