Installation of synthetic ACFT field nears completion

FORT SILL, Okla., April 14, 2021 -- Pro Turf Incorporated worker Carlos Nambo lays down fine sand onto the new artificial turf field near the corner of Randolph Road and Fort Sill Boulevard. PWE Incorporated of Lawton was the lead contractor for the project completing all dirt moving and grading along with concrete work. PATCO Electric of Lawton will install light poles to illuminate the field.

Adam Garley of Pro Turf Incorporated of Haslet, Texas, rolls out a 15-foot by 100-foot section of artificial turf April 9, 2021, at Prichard Field. Once all turf was placed, Pro Turf workers glued the sections together then nailed the perimeter down to the fine gravel base underneath.

Carlos Nambo of Pro Turf Incorporated of Haslet, Texas, pulls slack out of a section of artificial turf April 9, 2021 on the infield of the Prichard Field track here. The synthetic multipurpose field will primarily be used for Army Combat Fitness Test purposes.
