Biography 593d ESC Commander, COL Timothy P. White

COL Timothy P. White is the commander of 593d Expeditionary Sustainment Command. He is a native of Spencer, Massachusetts, and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army Ordnance Corps through the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) program at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 1992. His military education includes the Ordnance Officer Basic Course, the Combined Logistics Officers Advanced Course, the United States Army Command and General Staff College, the Joint and Combined Warfighting School (JPME II), and the Air War College.

Col. White's past assignments include: Platoon Leader, Shop Officer, and Support Operations Maintenance Officer of the 64th Forward Support Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado; Division Materiel Management Center Fleet Manager for the 2nd Division Support Command, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Casey, Korea; Assistant Chief of Staff, G-4, Maintenance Officer of the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York; Commander of the 514th Maintenance Company, 548th Corps Support Battalion, 10th Division Support Command, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York; Department of Military Instruction Executive Officer and Ordnance Branch Representative for the United States Military Academy, West Point, New York; Assistant Chief of Staff, G-4, Logistics Operations Officer of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Support Operations Officer and Executive Officer for the 801st Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, Kentucky; J4 Logistics Plans Officer, United States Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Florida; Commander of the 548th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (CSSB), 10th Sustainment Brigade, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), and Assistant Chief of Staff, G-4 for the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) at Fort Drum, New York; Support Operations Officer (SPO) of the 19th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, Camp Henry, Korea; Commander of the 2nd Infantry Division Sustainment Brigade (formerly the 501st Sustainment Brigade), Camp Carroll, Korea; and the Assistant Chief of Staff, G4 of I Corps, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.

Col White has deployed to East Baghdad, Iraq, with the 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) in support of OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, and as the Combined Joint 4 (CJ4) of Regional Command-South (RC-S) at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, with the 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM.

Col. White holds two master's degrees; one in Public Administration from John Jay College of the City University of New York, and one in Strategic Studies from the Air War College. His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star with one Oak Leaf cluster, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with four Oak Leaf clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with three Oak Leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with four Oak Leaf clusters, the Iraq Campaign Medal with Bronze Star device, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Bronze Star device, the NATO ISAF Medal (Non Article 5), the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Korean Defense Service Medal. He has also earned the Parachutist and Air Assault Badges.
