Senior Executives from the Afghanistan Power Infrastructure stakeholder group met at the U S Embassy in Kabul February 23 to review progress update on electrical power infrastructure projects.

This meeting of Afghanistan Power Governance Senior Executives included members of the #DoD; U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan (CSTC-A), U S Forces Afghanistan Joint Engineers, U S Agency for International Development Afghanistan (USAID), Government of the Islamic Republic of Aghanistan (GIRoA) Ministry of Energy and Water, the national power utility company, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkot, and Asian Development Bank.

This governance structure affords senior leaders the opportunity to gauge progress, and to engage at their level in order to resolve issues and move partnerships and projects forward.

Fast forward to February 28 and USACE and USAID meet again at the Embassy in Kabul to discuss and develop standard operating procedures for collaboration between the two agencies as part of the ongoing effort to strenghten Afghanistan's electrical infrastructure.
