Leaders from the 1st Infantry Division and 3rd (United Kingdom) Division met during the 1st Inf. Div.'s recent command post exercise Feb. 28, 2019, at Fort Riley, Kansas, as they prepare for Warfighter 19-04.

Maj. Gen. John S. Kolasheski, the 1st Infantry Division commanding general, and Maj. Gen. James Swift, the 3rd (United Kingdom) Division commanding general, met and discussed the future exercise with other leaders from within their divisions in the "Big Red One's" joint operations center in a training area on Fort Riley.

Warfighter is the division's culminating exercise that validates the training of its staff, ensuring it is prepared and ready to respond to any mission across the world.

The U.S. and U.K. headquarters will team for this iteration of Warfighter, and, like during the CPX, will be joined by the 1st Infantry Division Artillery, Fort Riley's 10th Air Support Operations Squadron and observer/coach/trainers from various installations.
