Col. Mark Thompson, Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center applauds Holocaust victim Sylvia Gutmann following her story of survival during Fort Hood's Days of Remembrance ceremony April 13. Gutmann, who lost her parents at the hands of German Nazis, was three when her parents were taken to Auschwitz and gassed. The annual remembrance ceremony was hosted by Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, III Corps and Fort Hood and the Warrior Transition Unit.
