173rd Airborne Brigade paratrooper found dead in Italy (Follow-up)

VICENZA, Italy -- A Paratrooper assigned to 173rd Airborne Brigade was found dead at his off-post residence, February 3, 2016.

Langston T. Watson, 29, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, entered the military in May 7, 2007 as a Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Specialist. He was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 54th Engineer Battalion, 173rd Airborne Brigade since December 20, 2015.

Watson's awards and decorations include the Army Commendation medal (4th award), Army Achievement medal (2nd award), and Parachutist's Badge among others.

The incident is still under investigation by Italian and U.S. officials.
