WIESBADEN, Germany -- Command Sgt. Maj. Gregory Rowland assumed responsibility of 2nd Signal Brigade at a ceremony July 22, 2016 in Grafenwoehr.

Command Sgt. Maj. Frank Gutierrez, 5th Signal Command (Theater) senior enlisted leader, presided over the ceremony. Gutierrez passed the noncommissioned officer saber from Sgt. Maj. Ron Yingling, 2nd Signal Brigade acting senior enlisted leader, to Rowland, entrusting him with the leadership, training and care of the brigade's Soldiers and Civilians.

"I know the Soldiers and Civilians of the 2nd Signal Brigade are in good hands," Gutierrez said.

Rowland was previously the senior enlisted advisor for the 509th Signal Battalion in Vicenza, Italy.
