Sgt. 1st Class Mark Lauridson, outperformed 50 noncommissioned officers, and Spc. Charles Reding beat out 26 lower enlisted Soldiers to earn the title of Best Logistics Warrior in the NCO and lower enlisted Soldier categories respectively, during the 3/379th Logistics Support Battalion's annual competition, Ft. Chaffee, Ark. April 9-12, 2015.

Sgt. 1st Class Mark Barry McNatt and Spc. Matthew Henson each took second place in their respective categories.

The Soldiers competed individually in rifle marksmanship, physical fitness, a 4.25-mile march wearing a rucksack, and their Military Occupational Specialties. They also competed against each other as companies conducting Convoy Operations, tug o' war, volleyball, basketball, horseshoes.

All four Soldiers received Army Achievement Medals.

The 3rd/379th is an Army Reserve battalion headquartered in Barling, Ark., commanded by Lt. Col. Mark McCullough. The command has three subordinate companies each located in Barling, Ark., Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. and Ft. Polk, La. The battalion is subordinate to the 800th Logistical Support Battalion headquartered in Mustang, Okla., which is subordinate to the 80th Training Command (TASS) headquartered in Richmond, Va.
