FORT BRAGG, N.C. (Feb. 26, 2013) - U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) leadership held Town Hall meetings in the Gen. George C. Marshall Hall, Feb. 25, to discuss the impact of a potential 22-day Army civilian employee furlough. The meetings, held in the Kerwin Conference Room, were the command's first use of streaming, web-based technology that allowed those who could not attend in person, the opportunity to watch the meeting from any of the facilities conference and team rooms, or at their individual workstation.

Lt. Gen. William B. Garrett, deputy commanding general, FORSCOM, and Ms. Ronna Garrett, human resources director, FORSCOM, discussed the potential impact of the Army civilian furlough that may be directed under the congressionally mandated sequestration. Ms. Garrett gave potential details of the command's plan to implement Army guidance, which calls for all Department of the Army civilian employees to take 22 unpaid days off before the end of Fiscal Year 2013.
