GRAFENWOEHR, Germany -- David Justice, former Major League Baseball player for the Atlanta Braves, New York Yankees and Oakland A's, holds Sgt. Alberto Garcia's 13-day-old son, Yandel, at the Grafenwoehr Exchange, Feb. 5.

Garcia serves with the 1st Inland Cargo Transfer Company, 18th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion.

As Justice was passing Yandel back to Garcia, a Soldier in the crowd said, "Don't drop him." Justice replied, laughing: "I've got three, I know how to hold them."

Justice along with 11 other former MLB players and broadcasters is visiting U.S. Army Garrison Grafenwoehr this week as part of Fox Sports' "Spring Training to the Troops" which encourages physical fitness, resilience and a healthy lifestyle among the Army community.

During the three-day visit, athletes will train alongside Soldiers, pass on their knowledge during a youth baseball clinic, Feb. 5 from 4-6 p.m., talk sports with high school students, mingle with spouses and visit Warrior Transition Unit Soldiers.

Additionally, competition will ignite as Soldiers from 709th Military Police Battalion and 172nd Infantry Brigade go head-to-head in a wiffleball competition, with special guests in tow, at the Grafenwoehr Physical Fitness Center, Feb. 6, from 2-4 p.m.
