GRAFENWOEHR, Germany -- Hopeful yogis pose in downward dog during Destiny Ingram's yoga class during Fitness Day at the Grafenwoehr Physical Fitness Center, Jan. 12.

Over 125 people showed up for Fitness Day this year, where they explored classes like Body Step, Workout of the Day and yoga. Participants also benefited from free fitness exams, massage demos, nutrition advice and self-defense classes.

The day gave community members an opportunity to dip their toes into physical fitness and see what meets their needs and level of health.

"Some people feel very uncomfortable the first time they come here, so this is a good chance for them to get used to it and meet people," said Serge Kearse, chief of Sports and Fitness Operations at the gym.

Alesha Wozny arrived at Fitness Day intent on finding a way to reclaim her body post-baby.

"My goal today is to check out as many classes as I could so I can figure out what I can do when my kids at day care and school," she said.

She said that while she has always been interested in sampling classes, she couldn't find the time to test multiple courses throughout the week.

"You set people up for success when you allow them to try it all in one shot."
