U.S. ARMY KWAJALEIN ATOLL, Marshall Islands - The 223rd Community Relations Council meeting took place May 4 at the U.S. Army Kwajalein Atoll headquarters conference room. The CRC is mandated by the Compact of Free Association between the U.S. and Republic of the Marshall Islands. It is one of several forums, including the Joint Committee Meeting, Working Level Joint Committee Meeting and the Joint Labor Relations Board, held on a regular basis between the U.S. and RMI officials. The CRC focuses on community-level issues of mutual interest between USAKA, the RMI and the Kwajalein Atoll local government. In the recent meeting, the U.S. delegation was headed by USAKA/RTS Commander Col. Joseph Gaines, and the RMI delegation was led by Chief Secretary Casten Nemra.
