YONGSAN GARRISON, South Korea (March 29, 2012) -- Frequent permanent change of station moves make finding and keeping a job a challenge for military spouses.

To expand career opportunities for military spouses, the Department of Defense launched the Military Spouse Employment Partnership in June 2011 to match Fortune 500 companies with military spouses worldwide.

Modeled after the Army Spouse Employment Partnership, or MSEP, currently has 96 partners who have hired more than 10,000 military spouses.

"The Military Spouse Employment Partnership is one of the tools we're using to better leverage the talents of our military spouses and provide them with job opportunities," said Col. Liana Bratland, the Eighth Army G-1.
